Last updated: September 16, 2025

ChordWise respects your privacy. We only collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app. We do not collect or process your personal content, recordings, contacts, or precise location. We do not run ads and we do not sell your data.

What we collect (with your consent)

When you allow analytics at first app start, we use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect technical usage data such as:

We do not collect names, email addresses, microphone audio, photos, contacts, calendars, or precise (GPS) location.

Purpose & legal basis

We use analytics to improve ChordWise (e.g., understand which screens are used, fix issues, and prioritize features). In the EU/EEA the legal basis is consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app settings.

Your choices

Data retention

Event data in Google Analytics for Firebase is retained for a limited period that we configure in our analytics property. We keep this short and use Google’s automatic deletion. Our current retention setting is 2 months. Data older than this window is automatically deleted. We do not use Google Signals or User-ID.

Data sharing & processors

Analytics data is processed by Google as our service provider (processor). We do not share analytics data with other third parties and we do not sell data.

Security

Analytics data is transmitted via HTTPS and stored by Google under industry-standard security. We only access aggregated reports.

Children

ChordWise is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided data without consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we add features that require different data processing, we will update this policy and clearly notify users in the app and here.
